Our Story
Lofty’s Furniture was built on a simple idea: great furniture shouldn’t come with an inflated price tag.
For many years, we’ve been sourcing quality pieces from cancelled orders, end-of-range collections, overruns, and returns from high-street retailers, manufacturers, and online brands.
This allows us to offer well-designed, often brand-name furniture at a fraction of traditional retail prices.
Our home is a large warehouse showroom in Wick Lane, East London. It’s not a conventional furniture shop — and that’s very much the point.
Everything we sell is on display in our warehouse and ready to take home, meaning no long lead times and no waiting months for delivery.
We only sell what we have in stock, so what you see is exactly what you can buy.
Alongside carefully selected branded pieces, we’ve also begun developing and stocking our own exclusive product lines, designed with the same focus on quality, practicality, and value that Lofty’s is known for.
Our furniture is carefully curated rather than randomly assembled. We work within defined style boundaries, which gives Lofty’s a clear and recognisable identity while still allowing for variety and individuality. This means that if a particular piece catches your eye, you’ll likely find others that sit comfortably alongside it. The result is a showroom that feels considered and cohesive — not a mishmash of unrelated styles — making it easier for customers to browse, combine, and imagine pieces working together in their own homes.
Seeing furniture in person matters. In our warehouse, you can see the true colour, feel the texture, and sit on each piece to judge comfort for yourself. Comfort is subjective — what feels perfect to one person may feel very different to another — which is why we believe trying before you buy is essential.
Over time, Lofty’s has become known as a treasure-hunt destination. Some people arrive with a specific item in mind; others come simply to browse and be surprised. While our website showcases a selection of what we offer, many pieces are available exclusively in-store and may not appear online, making a visit to the showroom the best way to experience the full range.
We’ve grown through word of mouth, local loyalty, and our community, sharing new arrivals regularly through social media so customers can see what’s just landed. Sustainability is also part of our story: by giving surplus and returned furniture a second life, we help reduce waste while offering exceptional value.
Lofty’s takes its name from its founder and the business has been proudly independent from day one.
We’ve even had our moment in the spotlight, appearing on the BBC’s Flipping Profit and Channel 4's George Clarke's Shows but our focus has always remained the same — honest pricing, quality furniture, and a constantly evolving collection.
If you’re looking for something different, something well-made, or simply something unexpected, you’ll find it at Lofty’s.
